Altesa develops original arts educational and professional development classes, workshops and courses related to History, English Language Arts, Drama, Theater, Acting, Performance, Ensemble Building and Empowerment for schools, organizations, community and faith-based venues.

ACTOR'S TRAINING CAMP (Ages 9-11, 12-16)  4 Days

ONLINE LIVE, $65.00/per student

This 4 Day camp  uses fun personalized theater games to introduce and support important tenets in the field of Acting; Ensemble, Imagination, Character Development and Performance.  Students who have expressed an interest in acting will appreciate the time spent in this class.

Let the Inner activist, romantic and adventurer out in this hour-long, safe, supportive and fun filled class that explores the power of the written word while encouraging you to write now and overcome the hindrances of procrastination and writer’s block through the use of a variety of exercises and prompts.

ACTING THRU HISTORY: ELIZABETHAN PERIOD I & II  

available online or in person.

This 2 part course immerses the student into the world of classical history and theatre with a combination of sonnet, speech and monologue work, weekly activities, written assignments and on camera presentations.

INTRO TO ACTING: THE CRAFT  4 weeks

online only.

What makes a skillful actor? This interactive introduction to the tools of the trade connects participants to the art and it's disciplines.  Voice and Speech,  Imagination, Characterization and Improv and more are covered each week.

 PRIVATE ACTING INTENSIVE  4 weeks

online only.

Master your song, monologue or audition piece via customized, one on one attention. 

YOUTH DRAMA   5 weeks

available in person only.

Save the drama for the stage.  This space Is set aside for participants to be free to express themselves. By exposure to games, exercises and acting techniques that promote awareness, vocalization, critical thinking, problem solving, following instructions, active listening, flexibility, posture and alignment, ensemble work and performance skills, children will be equipped to communicate with confidence in any environment.

EXPRESSIVE DRAMA  (*Teens and Adults, Seniors) 8 weeks

available in person only.

Visual Arts and Theatre merge when participants choose an artist rendering to dramatize before an audience of family and friends.  This is a great class for the novice and seasoned actor, writer, creative who is looking for a safe non competitive environment to hone their skills while building a community. 

 

*An artist rendering is chosen by the instructor for the teen class.  Teens will work as an ensemble to produce a dramatization of the artist rendering.

POETRY AND PERFORMANCE (Teens and Adults) 8 weeks

available in person only.

Dive into the literary works of renowned poets such as James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Juan Felipe and more with the goal to translate the universal and interpreted meanings into a collective performance.
